Lonely Solo Valentiners ?
-- NewsLooks like we could be in for a Snowmantic Valentines this year, though I’m not complaining. How pretty does the deep, crunchy white carpet covering Primrose Hill (London) look or anywhere? How scenic, how idyllic, how spectacular this sudden influx of winter weather upon our February days; shining incandescently as the startling Spring time sun bounces off each snowflake.
Admittedly, if there’s any type of weather that gets me feeling romantic it has to be the snow. Who doesn’t feel a tingling sense of romance and adventure with the thought of long walks through white-coated parks and fields with your lover? And of going home to nights in by the fire all wrapped up and cosy? It’s postcard perfection if you ask me.
But wipe away some of my overly gushy dreams of a resplendent February Snowmance, defreeze my wishful thawts of galavanting through a snow-coated Hampstead Heath hand-in-hand with Ryan Gosling… and what you’re left with is hundreds of snowed in, bitterly cold and bitingly lonely Solo Valentiners, stranded in a snow storm of singlehood.
It’s snow joke. For all us singletons, the prospect of attaining a Valentine Snowmance seems more like a long, gritted road filled with slush and sorrow rather than a beautiful sleigh ride in a picture perfect scene with (insert dream date). And, I’m not sure about you, but having to watch those around us revel in this current beautified valentines climate, I think, is really taking the piste.
But it’s okay because we are here to help out for a nice chat or a warm tea. No date to help keep you warm on your wintery, weekend walk? No one to buy some silky Valentines lingerie for? Who cares! We’ve got the range of warm scarves that are bound to cheer you up more than any man could!
In the end, Valentines shouldn’t put pressure on those who enjoy an amazing, independent single life (decked out in beautiful and colourful accessories… ) and it shouldn’t change anything between couples who are already so much in love. Whichever situation you’re in for this Valentines, all employees at Shanghai Trio think the most important thing is to look and feel good. Be your own Valentines Snowmance and treat yourself, or impress your Valentine with a little gift. Because, in the end, if you look and feel good whatever your prospects of a Valentines Snowmance, everything will, indeed, be all white.
